Wings of Discovery
Wings of Discovery is a cultural exchange program which provides high school students with the opportunity to broaden their minds, cultural understanding, and academic development through domestic and international travel. This program was developed on the premise that many views of our young people are rooted within the limitation of their neighborhoods, schools, and stagnant environments.
These factors, coupled with declining opportunities for the development of youthful imagination, constricts one’s understanding and view of the world that exists beyond the borders of one’s neighborhood. Wings of Discovery seeks to combat this perspective through the facilitation of tours, lectures, and cultural programming from South Africa, Curacao, the Holy Land (Middle East), and other sources with uplift the perspective of young people.
